L. A. Teal was born and raised in southeastern Connecticut. During her tenure as a Coast Guard wife, Teal moved 13 times in 23 years...Flexibility being in her nature, (modesty too!) she works as an adjunct professor in between gigs...She has undergraduate degrees from Mitchell College, Central Connecticut State University and a graduate degree in Business, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute...A law school dropout, she has lived both in Los Angeles and New York City...Been to fashion week in both Paris and New York and by invitation only, attended such spectacular events including a private party given by Yves St. Laurent when he rented out the entire Statue of Liberty to launch his Champagne fragrance... She has done creative design and consultation for the Washington elite including parties attended by the likes of Pat Buchanan...Teal also works as an independent television producer finding herself in such exciting places as joining the international press corps at the White House, interviewing foreign ambassadors both at embassies and private residences and wonderful, cigar toting and dapper personalities such as Marlin Fitzwater, 'West Wing' consultant, and the longest sitting press secretary in the history of the nation working under both Presidents Regan and Bush 41. A talented designer, Teal had designs photographed by the international publication, Victoria Magazine and recently launched an over 40 jacket collection...Going to press, while calling Annapolis home, Teal is building a country home in Preston, Connecticut...She shares life with three animals; corgi girl, Olivia, alley cat, McClintock, cairn terrier Talbot who just celebrated his 15th birthday. Oh...Humans, Husband Jim...Son, JP, in college in Providence, Rhode Island and daughter Kiersten, heading for the University of Connecticut...
