From one Christmas season to another, and yet to another, a haunting was taking place deep in the bowels of Hillside Presbyterian Church, which sat high up on the hill overlooking the Allegheny Valley Expressway above West Tarentum. Over the period of more than two years, a church, its new young female pastor, and her beloved, are plagued with a haunting that was mysterious, suspicious, and frightening.
This is the setting for the dispatching of a saintly operative on another divine mission. On a cold and dark December evening, the late Father Rasmus Gilbert Feynman was sent to Earth to assist a dearly departed saint who had gone astray. His task was to end her haunting and to return her to the light. This is a story of two wedding services gone drastically wrong, two love affairs – one in which ends in tragedy, and a woman so possessed by jealousy that she becomes the epitome of evil.
To make matters more difficult for Feynman, he is to refrain from the use of force. He is to employ only reason and biblical truth to persuade those he has come to help of his purpose, veracity, and the need to fulfill his mission.
This tale depicts how love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness can conquer jealousy, selfishness, depravity, and sin.
