Around the Next Corner is the story of Will Morris' life. From a depression-era farm lad he became a WWII soldier, then a college student and a retailer. Having started as a men's hat salesman, he became a senior corporate officer in a large retail chain. The most unique part of his life followed his retirement. Retirement, like all his other journeys, was not the end of a period, but rather the beginning. Confident that the rewards of his life to date were the results of God-given, he determined that his retirement years should be devoted to sharing his good fortune and experience with others. His efforts allowed dozens of financially underprivileged students to attend college. During this time, he and his children witnessed his wife, at age sixty-two, graduate from college. He learned to fly planes, became an instrument-rated pilot, and transported human organs for transplant. His adventuresome character never left him and with a tent, camp stove and backpack he traveled around the world. In fifty countries he met and talked with people where they lived, about their lives and their circumstances. Will believes that no person has had a more fruitful retirement than his. His writing will expose you to a small portion of the last twenty years of his life. At age eighty, he is still going around the next corner.
