Michael is an experienced attorney whose practice is focused on defending DUI cases. He has been recognized by the National College for DUI Defense for his efforts as a Criminal Defense Attorney dedicated to the defense of citizens accused of Driving Under the Influence (DUI). He is a nationally certified breath test operator and is NHTSA trained on field sobriety tests. He understands and uses legal, scientific, medical, and technical issues to fight DUI cases. He attends numerous DUI seminars across the country every year to keep abreast of all the latest innovative ways to defend DUI cases. He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, a Life Member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a member of the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Criminal Justice Studies in 1986. He received the Alpha Phi Sigma Award for graduating with the highest grade point average in Criminal Justice Studies. He graduated from The Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 1990. He believes that those accused of a DUI deserve to have an aggressive defense.
