Casey Carvalho, 32, a licensed mortician, helps run the Carvalho Funeral Home in Northern California with her ditzy mom and three brothers, Allan, Buckley, and Donovan (they're alphabetical and chronological). While driving one of the hearses to a friend's wedding in Oregon (her own car wouldn't start), Casey happens on a corpse, a cop, a big-eared kid, and a mystery that puts her life in jeopardy.
