Off the northern coast of Venezuela, in the late 1600s, a pirate ship sinks in a storm, its treasure lost and its crew forgotten. Centuries later, a cement freighter sinks under mysterious circumstances in the same waters. Marine researchers Chris Dunn and Ray Salas arrive in Mochima National Park for a routine diving project—but when two university students are kidnapped during a night dive, Chris and Ray are drawn into a dangerous conflict involving smuggling routes, hidden caves, and a powerful criminal network. As they search for answers, they uncover a link between the sunken past and the violent present. With time running out, they must navigate treacherous waters—both literal and political—to protect their friends and prevent an old treasure from falling into the wrong hands.
