Emily Jacobson is addicted to her unconventional psychiatrist. Convinced that he feels the same way about her, and that they are meant to be together forever, she devotes herself to breaking Dr. Gorman's only rule: "I never date my patients." With the help of her girlfriends, a loyal ex-husband, and a passing parade of other shrinks, Emily ultimately discovers that while true love never dies, it sometimes moves without leaving a forwarding address.
