What is an Exit Strategy? An exit strategy is more than a way to unload your business. That would just be an exit. An exit strategy is just that: a well-designed plan that considers and incorporates both the condition of your company now and where you expect it to be in the future, as well as your personal goals now and in the future. It is your insurance policy that, when the time comes, you are in control of when, where, and to whom you can sell your business.
